400+ years of fortitude (1619 – 2019)

The year 2019 marks 400 since since the first slave ship, the White Lion, docked in the United States at Ft. Comfort, carrying some “some 20. and odd” numbered enslaved persons.  We have acknowledged this as “400+ Years of Fortitude”.  Our goal is to celebrate the accomplishments of those who persevered along the way as a testament to the fortitude of  American of African descent.   As the year progresses, we will add more content about this history.
