THE FOLLOWING ARE OUR LEGACY PROJECTS From 2008-2023

DRED SCOTT INSTALLED IN THE HALL OF FAMOUS MISSOURIANS IN JEFFERSON CITY’S CAPITAL BUILDING ON MAY 9, 2012

A HEADSTONE AND A PAVILION WERE ESTABLISHED FOR HER ON WHAT WE CALL HARRIET’S HILL. THESE WERE INSTALLED IN 2008 AND 2009 RESPECTIVELY. IN 2023 SHE RECEIVED A HEADSTONE FOR HER RECENTLY DISCOVERED ACTUAL BURIAL SITE

STATUE OF DRED AND HARRIET SCOTT INSTALLED ON JUNE 8, 2010 AFTER THE FOUNDATION RAISED $250,000.  HARRY WEBER CREATED THE MONUMENT.  IT IS THE FIRST AND STILL ONLY STATUE OF THE SCOTTS EVER CREATED.

DRED SCOTT PRESENTS: SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF RECONCILIATION IS A SIGNATURE PROGRAM OF THE FOUNDATION WITH OVER 30 PARTICIPANTS TO DATE.


 A RENUNCIATION OF THE 1852 MISSOURI SUPREME COURT DRED SCOTT DECISION PUT FORTH UNANIMOUSLY BY THE MISSOURI LEGISLATURE IN 2021 AFTER 4 YEARS OF LOBBYING FOR A RESPONSE TO THE UNFORTUNATE STATE DECISION


NEW MEMORIAL MONUMENT HEADSTONE FOR DRED SCOTT AT CALVARY CEMETERY BY THE DRED SCOTT HERITAGE FOUNDATION INSTALLED SEPT 30, 2023. DRED DIED ON CONSTITUTION DAY. THIS REPLACED THE ONE FROM 1957 (SEE INSET)
BACK SIDE OF THE MONUMENT AT CALVARY WITH A PARTIAL EULOGY FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES FROM 1857, DESIGNED BY LYNNE M. JACKSON, CREATED BY ROSENBLOOM MORTUARY, LAYOUT BY KULHMAN-LEAVITT GRAPHIC DESIGNS

THERE CURRENTLY IS NO DRED SCOTT STAMP BUT THE FOUNDATION HAS AN ONGOING STAMP PETITION CAMPAIGN AS REQUIRED TO INFLUENCE THOSE WHO MAKE THE DECISION THAT PEOPLE WOULD LIKE A DRED SCOTT STAMP THIS IS ONLY A RENDITION.
